The neck of a grown-up determined the size of the black coat hook at the top. It is made of soft polyurethane and the main purpose is to be able to hang coats without the risk of damage. The shape is borrowed from the mushroom at atime when Ed Annink asked himself: why design a unique new form if the appropriate shape is already available?
Later he developed different versions. The white porcelain one features a small mirror inside so that you can throw a quick glance at your looks before you hang your coat.
The third hook is the most recent one. It is also based on the neck, but the shape is very informal and allows other objects to be hung from it. An umbrella for instance.
